Staplegrove run a programme of Swimming lessons held at Blackbrook Leisure Centre. Typically they run for 8 week blocks per class. Children will travel by coach, leaving school 30 minutes before their swim time, returning once all children are ready. 

During 2023/2024 swimming will be on a Thursday 1pm-1.30pm

Year 6 - 25mtr assessment and working towards life saving skills (6 week block) will be Monday 1.30pm-2pm June/July

Children are required to bring their swimming kit to school, this must include a towel, a one-piece swimming costume for girls and trunk/shorts (not knee length) for boys, a pair of goggles and swim cap if preferred.

Swimming is part of the school curriculum, therefore all children are required to attend swimming lessons, even if they attend private lessons outside of school.
