We are committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all children at Staplegrove Church School and expect everyone to share this commitment. In line with our safeguarding policy and statutory guidance we have clear procedures in school for responding to any concerns about a child’s safety or well-being. If you have a concern, you can speak to any of the school’s designated and trained Child Protection Officers.

VISITING OR JOINING OUR SCHOOL
At Staplegrove we take safeguarding very seriously. All members of staff are vetted against national safeguarding procedures before being allowed to work in school. At least one member of every interview panel has undertaken safer recruitment training to ensure that best practices and all necessary checks are carried out.
Please be mindful that for everybody’s safety, identification procedures will be carried out. Visitors to the school will need to sign in and wear an identification badge during their time in the building. All supply teachers and contractors working on site must provide photo ID and DBS clearance. Visitors will be escorted around the site.
The internal school gates are kept closed during the school day. All visitors are asked to report to the main school office. The main vehicle ‘in’ gate will be closed during the school day.
