Ethos and Christian Values at Staplegrove
Our Christian Values
At Staplegrove Church School, our Christian Values are at the heart of our school community. Our core Values of Respect, Courage, Perseverance, Thankfulness, Truthfulness and Friendship were chosen by the whole school community and are integral to our school’s work.
Our values are understood, celebrated and lived and help form our school's safe and nurturing environment where children can be the best version of themselves.
We also celebrate our Values with the wider community. These celebrations have included in-school values days and a whole-school community week, where we showed respect and thankfulness for our local community. Children performed a music concert for a local care home, helped with gardening in St John's Church grounds and held an afternoon tea for all of our school volunteers.
Our themes of Collective Worship at Staplegrove Church School are led by our Christian values, world events, national awareness days and religious festivals.
Our aim is that all children will be able to understand and demonstrate our core Christian values and link them to real life situations and put them into context.
Our school is united with the Staplegrove Benefice, sharing in a joint Christian Ethos comprising of our children, their families, staff, governors and the parish members of St. John’s the Evangelist Church. This adds meaning to the life of our school and the local parish.
